Savoir vivre w MCC Mazurkas Conference Centre & Hotel
On July, 5 MCC Mazurkas Conference Centre & Hotel and EventMapa.pl organized the meeting for the representatives of the MICE sector, which main topic was the role of catering during the event and behaviour at table.
The meeting was started by Mr Michał Kozak – the Managing Director of MCC Mazurkas Conference Centre & Hotel and Mazurkas Catering, who explained how the organization of the event looks like from the perspective of a catering company, what should be taken into consideration while choosing the event venue and how to make the event more attractive using the culinary means. Later on, Dr. Stanisław Krajski, recognized savoir vivre expert, presented the basic rules which should be obeyed at the elegant reception. The attendees had the opportunity to put this rules into practice during the supper, which was getting on according to the protocol. There were plenty of questions. Our expert answered each of them patiently and professionally explained the complexity of protocol.
Taking delight in dishes, which were prepared for this evening by the Chef of MCC Mazurkas Conference Centre & Hotel, and which for sure would win recognition also at ambassador’s tables, the participants had the opportunity to check if the elegant way of eating the soup or peeling fruits without touching them with one’s hands is as difficult as it may seem. And it’s really not so easy! Raise your hand if you do not touch the apple while peeling it! A lot of emotions aroused while the simple act of... sitting at the table was explained. The mysterious phrases “cat on the laps” and “mouse behind one’s back” were repeated by our guests many times.
At the end of the supper all of the participants confirmed unanimously that the diplomatic reception, with waiters wearing tails and serving dishes in white gloves is an extraordinary experience, especially when the savoir vivre expert accompanies you and reveals the secrets of good manners.
